Sweet, Little, Teddy Bear.....

Sometimes evil looks like a fuzzy teddy bear.

Still grieving the untimely death of his dad, ten-year-old Josh Leary is reluctant to accept a well-worn stuffed teddy bear from his new stepfather. He soon learns he was right to be wary. Edgar is no ordinary toy...and he doesn’t like being rejected. When Josh banishes him to the closet, terrible things begin to happen.

Desperate to be rid of the bear, Josh engages the help of a friend. As the boys’ efforts rebound on them with horrifying results, Josh is forced to accept the truth—Edgar will always get even.

The Bear Who Wouldn’t Leave is part of Samhain Horror’s Childhood Fears series. I think we all remember a toy that made us uneasy when we were children. Maybe it was a porcelain doll with staring eyes, or a leering clown, or even E.T. with his glowing heart.

In Josh’s case, his misgivings about Edgar are very well founded. While writing The Bear Who Wouldn’t Leave, other awesome stories of cursed toys inspired me, from The Twilight Zone’s Talking Tina to Stephen King’s gruesome death-foretelling monkey to the doll in the vault from Friday the 13th The Series.

Evil toys conjure a sense of dread in the reader because we trust toys with our children. As kids, toys are our constant companions. Sometimes they can make us feel safe, or loved. When a child is hurting, a toy is often what provides comfort.

But what happens when the toy is doing the hurting?

That’s what Josh is about to find out.

Pulled between them, Nix also has to deal with a young autistic son, a sister in law and two nieces, all of whom he has to protect from an entity hell bent on revenge.

We tend to overlook the nutritional content of any delicacy in the urge to savor it. We tend to rate the food based on its flavor, presentation and complexity in preparation, but seldom do we rate it based on how healthy it is for our body.
The major reason for the decreased stamina in this generation is because of the lack of healthy food habits.

The innocent looking wheat that is almost present in all your junk foods is quite deceiving after all. Wheat can cause serious health damages even to people who are not allergic to it or suffer from Celiac disease. Never underestimate the perils of high wheat content diet, for it can cause serious cardiac issues and even cause cancer. Another preconceived notion that plagues us is that healthy foods are not tasty and are fit to suit the needs of an elderly person.
